Unidentified Loft Find!

Heya! I’m new here so I think this is the right place to post this but I went into my mates loft the other day and found this buried in the insulation. I have tried to google it and asking on reddit but everyone seems to give me different answers and google didn’t really turn up any results. I’m not sure if i’m searching incorrectly but I’ll attach some photos to this and see if anyone could help me! I would really appreciate it, I’m so curious as to its history but am really struggling to find anything myself!

I can post the measurements in a while, I think it’s about 750mm tall and 100mm in diameter at the neck (I think) although I will have to double check a little later!
