Is it time to point out that the Iranians have a copy of the HG 79?

Hi,

I think the iranian body is closer to the body of the german MDN21.
Look at the thread for the fuze : inside the fuze well for the iranian, outside for the HG79 http://lexpev.nl/grenades/europe/austria/hg79.html
Anyway, this is the other side of this iranian (and the MDN21 to compare, thanks to LEXPEV again !) :

Does somebody read arabic (or maybe farsi ?) and can tell us what is written on both sides of the iranian grenade ?

Regards,

S.

The grenade it is not a 86P;the spoon lever is different and, normally, it is marked on the top "86P", and the shape of body is different with not the same number of fragments. It is more like an Arges 79 grenade with a old Arges model fuze. But it can also looks alike an Arges SplHGr85. Several like grenades have been found at the turkish border. It is known that the Arges produces grenades unmarked for "special uses undercover" 86P vs unk.jpgArges 85 Vs unk.jpgturchia _17-640x360.jpg
