This round is a puzzle to me. The case is 82mm long and headstamped BK 42 a 40. The projectile is the question. It is solid aluminum with a copper nose plug and a copper rotating band. No markings on it. If it is homemade the guy should open an arsenal because t is a really well made and machined projectile. The BK I assume is AG, Wuppertal-Oberbarmen, Altenburg Plant, Germany. As light as the projectile is I would say it would have a rather short range. I know someone out there can comment on the loading.
