Unknown 3 inch, 76mm or 75mm Armor Piercing Projectile in the US

This item is available in the US market, but I do not recognize it. It is reported to be 80mm in diameter. Its size, length and driving band design strikes me as US made for Russian 76mm M1902 guns for WWI. However, there is no such round in the WWI Russian 76mm manual - it has no AP rounds for WWI. It is most certainly not a French M1910 AP for the M1897 75mm guns. May I request your help with its identification?

U.S. 2.95 inch, if it is the right length and diameter.
