It is kind of a mystery. It has a boattail which would suggest it being more modern, but no crimping groove and hardly any area for a case to go over it. It looks like an AP projectile, but doesn't have enough rotating band to match a high velocity penetrating projectile.
Guessing a subcaliber practice projectile or maybe something like a MK108 low velocity projo.
