Unknown 37 mm, possibly US made 37 mm MKIII

I recently acquired this 37 mm case from the US, without head stamp. The foot is the same as a 37 mm MKIII, as is the position of where the neck starts. However, it is significantly longer; 152 mm vs 144 mm. What could this be? Unfinished case?
