Hello All,
I recently came across two of these in a job lot of old, tatty cartridges & wondered what they are from. They have a copper jacket with an exposed lead core at the base but the most intriguing feature is what appears to be a raised ring on the jacket, simulating a driving band or gas seal. It isn't a separate piece but is formed from the jacket itself.
Measurements as follows:
Overall length: 23.8mm
Width at 'driving band': 10.8mm
Width aft of 'd/b': 10.3mm
Aft face of 'd/b' to base: 8.0mm
Length of 'd/b' from initial point of rise to aft face: 2.0mm
Would be interested in your thoughts.
Regards, Ian.
