Unknown .50 Browning Sterile Drill Round

Found this sterile .50 Browning drill round. All I can tell you is it originates from either South Africa or is Ex-Rhodesian. I don't THINK it was manufactured in South Africa. All sterile South African rounds I have seen, at least show the calibre on the head stamp.

Any ideas of where it was manufactured?

I have a similar .303 dummy with no headstamp. I was told by a dependable source that the .303 dummy is South African. Obviously this isn't enough to conclusively identify your round.
