Hi,

I have this 75x277R90 case made by Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe for the Krupp field gun. It has 2 interesting features I do not recognize, 1) the big "L" like letter that seems Cyrillic and 2) a primer dated 1937 (?) I do not recognize. Can anybody help me what country this case was used by?

Hello,
the case has no german acceptance markings, so I think an export one. Markings on primer will be the key to id.
regards

The primer can always be screwed in later, but it looks original and the primer I can not identify. I agree the key is there, what country uses the marking Hv.? The big "L" also helps, it is Cyrillic-like so I am thinking towards Bulgaria or maybe even Turkey.

After all identified as Dutch, the primer is for the Dutch Indies.
