Hello, I have seen this ammo box, I forgot to take measurements but it's pretty large, something like 90x40x30cm and I have no clue as to what it was supposed to contain. Can someone help translate the markings? TIAIMG_8348.jpgIMG_8349.jpgIMG_8351.jpgIMG_8350.jpgIMG_8352.jpgIMG_8352.jpg

Possibly for two 107mm rockets for the Type 63 multiple rocket launcher? Unsure if text is Arabic or Persian (which use a modified variant of the Arabic alphabet), but the Type 63 is used by several Arabic-speaking countries plus Iran and its proxies. I ran the pics through Google Translate but the results didn't offer anything conclusive.

With the measurements you have I think it's possibly a wood box for type 59 130mm cannon ammo, the Chinese version of Russian M-46. There are known exports of this kind of artillery and munition to the middle-east. Here's a pic I found on the internet. Similar wood ammo boxes are very common and cheap in China.

The characters are Persian
They are read from right to left
On the long side:
The first line reads: p č - 7 ( "Pe-Tche -7 ") = PG-7 ?
The second line reads: 5-75-333

On the short side:
The first line: p č - 7B ("Pe-tche 7B") = PG-7B ?
The second line reads: 333- 5 - 75

BTW, "B7" is the name by which the Iranian RPG-7 is known in Lebanon and Syria. So may be this is a case for 2 RPG-7 shells.
