Who can tell me what bomb this is. What country, what era, what fuze is used on it. And does anybody have a drawing? Length of the bomb 44 cm. The three tailfins are lightly angled.
It seeems to be a training bomb built upon the general design of a Hales bomb - period ww1/ interwar - origin more problematic as whetehr teh Hales bombs were an original British design, they were widely exported worlwide and locally copied (notably in Spain).
There are some notable difference with the original Hales design (notably the one-stage fins and the fact that the fins are casted as and integral part of the bomb) - but it's quite logical for a training bomb) that can be better appreciated by comparison with the following pics of the 10lb, 16lb and 20lb HALE. The fins were indeed slightly angled
The last photograph is from a model used in Norway in the 1927-1940 period, showing the same general design but with a much modified and simplified tail
