So I've had this rather nice 105mm APFSDS Round for just over 3 months now , and I still haven't been able to find ANYTHING out about it , I'm getting close to giving up , all I know is that it's a H6 / 62 and is hand engraved / marked H6 7136/4 TYPE (4) No 6 RLB 08-89 , I'm kinda hoping that someone can shed some light as to what this is!

Nice round thanks for showing it.

The H6/62 replaced the L64 which uses the same charge as the L64 but has a completely different type of projectile. The penetrator is manufactured from tungsten-nickel-alloy. It is capable of horizontal and vertical accuracy (standard deviation) of better than .3x .3 mil out to 3000 metres when fired at temperatures of -46 to +52 degrees C.
The penetrator is 25mm in diameter with the fin being a six bladed aluminium extrusion. Service chamber pressure is 4260 bar, max 5110 bar. Muzzle velocity is 1480 metres per second.

Info taken from James AFV retrofit systems 1994-95 page 148.

It is amazing! Just beautiful! The sabot ports remind me of the US 105mm XC127 Excaliber APFSDS-T.
