It'd be about 5cm at the mouth,going by proportions?.

Seems to me like a 5 cm L/40 C/95 German, most likely pre-WW1

That's a new one for my data tables.
So is 355mm correct length?
And what is the rim diameter?

50x333R77.7 for the German version, 50x338R77.4 for the Dutch version.

Actually i do have 5cm L40 C/95 case ....it is 333mm long which i think is the standard length (77.5mm rim diameter).
So the above case at 355mm remains unknown.....
