need a bit of help please, not sure it is ordnance related and it looks a bit electrical with the black bakerlite bits and brass screws. there is the remains of a spring around the square bar and the little catch at the ends swivels into a slot in the bar, the non rusty metal is brass. Found in a wood near some practice trenches, no markings on it.
