A friend has asked me to help identify these items. No markings other than can be seen and the numbers on the two pieces are sequential. The box is obviously German, so we assume the two items are as well.

These are the only pictures I have but there could well be a mirror in there. Rather an elaborate bit of kit for such a thing but I can see it would make sense. Many thanks.
