Unknown firing Device

Does anyone know what this is? I know it's a bad picture. I will be getting better ones soon and will post them. It is brown plastic for the color ...

There are no marking on the item either.

It looks like a British firing device for ignighting safety fuze, should have a cap section that screws to the base and holds the fuze itself, about 1960 -1980s.

Does the device or set have a nomenclature?

From an old document i have dated 2004 the British designation was "Firing Device Demolition Grip L1A1" no doubt the L number may have changed over the years
