Unknown fuze

Who can tell me what -part of a- fuze this is? The impeller is connected to a gear train that makes the outer pipe over the fuze body rotate. I suspect it to be underwater ordnance.

Looks like an early depth & roll recorder for a torpedo - can you remove the back cover to shown the internal mechanism?

Any markings?

Hi, thanks for the awnsers. I will try to unscrew th backpart next time I am over there . All I nkow there is a three gaaerwheel reduction box from inpeller to outer skin, and internally there is also a shaft with a gear
