I don't have any idea about the following item. The thread looks like seen on some handgrenades. The thin tube contains a rotten quick match.

Ideas please :)

The ink stamps are very usual on french fuzes but "E.B." doesn't sound like any french manufacturer I have ever heard. Which country used ink stamps too?

EB : ETS BILLANT, BOURGES (CHER)
EB : ETS BRANDT E.
EB : SA DES ETS LUCHAIRE, BOURGES (CHER)
