Hi All,
I have picked up this British 1916 18pr case from a carboot, looking at the headstamp EQO is not one that i recognise the symbol of the to concentric C's is familiar but i cant place it. Any help much appriciated, best regards Weasel.
The two 'C's is an early Canadian Cartridge Company stamp.
The 'EQO' is a letter string that appears on Canadian cases and is date ascending. The reason for code is not known, but might be some form of Lotting.
Thank you Tim, thats a great help, after i posted this i remembered that i had another case with the same C's on it but with another three letter set so that makes sense now.
Best regards Weasel
