This bore brush looking item came from a gun show table with a lot of gun parts and gun smithing stuff. The seller had not a clue. It may not even be military. Any help?

Without any kind of size measurement, it could be an aggressive ear-wax remover.
 
Think i have found it 60mm Brandt mortar cleaning brush, as Hazard said measurements are needed

I think Spotter is spot on, from bristle end to bristle end measures 60mm. The total length of my piece is 16.3 cm but it is missing that top piece which screws on.
