Does anyone know what this might be?

It is solid with OD of 125mm, ID of 110mm and the height is 30mm.

The holes have a very slight ridge on the internal edge (which may have been to keep a disc in place?).

TIA for any thoughts.

Thanks to both for the suggestion but it's made of brass and the edge of the holes is sharp/fine and would fail under pressure I think. If it was a ball bearing race what could it have been used with?

It does not take any of the load, it simply keeps the balls separated and at an equal pitch. It needs to be a softer material so as not to damage any of the main components.
