Here is a grenade made from a stickgrenade pot - using not a stick but a wooden plug and a push igniter. Might be a substitue - any idea?

In your last photo, the "steel pipe grenade" (center), while it was made outside of Japan, is it correct to call it field made? It was my understanding that while lacking the finish of Typed grenades, it was still of a fairly high quality and understood to be produced in captured facilities. There are a fair number of these grenades floating around, with most variations being in the number of cuts in the circumfrence.

Here's another shot of the pipe grenade, from the US National Archive. The photo was taken at the intell center in Hawaii, but no mention of where it was found.
