I wondered if anybody could help identify this piece of kit I bought it as part of a collection of WW1 kit that was mostly British but one German bit too.
It looks like some kind of rifle sling but I'm out of my depth on this one. It has two sliding leather toggles that close the leather loops at each end. It measures around 95cm including the loops and can be extended by another 30cm or so.
