Asking the experts...

I recently purchased a DEWAT Mk. II Sten. The manufacturer markings & codes have me a bit stumped.

The receiver (magwell) is marked...
STEN MK II
E&Co

The trigger guard is marked...
J
H [?] LD
W
These initials are in a shield.

I believe that "E&Co" is Elkington & Company (Birmingham) however, I cannot find any info on "JHW LD.

What are your thoughts?

Any and all info is very much appreciated.
Many Thanks!

Possibly M.107 J HARPER & Co LTD, Willenhall

Since you know about E&Co you will probably have my friend Peter Laidler's definitive work on the Sten. He mentions many of the manufacturers and their numeric codes but JHLtd W does not feature in his work however it is contained in the reference he quotes from which the above is extracted. Contract papers at the PRO/TNA will probably help answer the question.
