Unknown Naval box i.d. required

Hi, do any members have any ideas what this Naval box original contained?

Box is painted stone with two red bands (explosive content).

External dimensions: length 425mm, width 213mm, height 196mm.

Its for Tubes , Percussion or Vent tubes . Is this the one off ebay? Im looking for a T marked box for land service use.

Thanks Gary, I couldn't make out what the letter was from the photo but now you point it out its obviously a 'T'!

Yes its pictures of the box from ebay that the seller sent before the auction was pulled.

I presume that it would have originally contained a metal liner?
