Unknown nose

Hello,

Who can identify this nose?

The material is a sort of plastic, looks a little like the inner liner of a ww-2 US helmet.
The nose is covered with a very thin layer of aluminium and inside is a part of a small aluminum strip

The length is 57 cm and the perimeter at the seam is 97 cm.

Some people think it is a drop tank for an airplane, but I can not find the model.

Greetings - Antoon

Could the aluminium layer be paint?

Your "nose" looks like it could be the back end of a P51 paper drop tank. They were finished with aluminium paint.

Thanks,

But the aluminium is not paint but a thin foil and is only on the front of the "nose"

Could be a frangible nose cone for a rocket pod. They have a similar, though weaker 'wafer' construction to the old helmet liners.
