Unknown P29 container

A friend of mine has got this container marked P29 and dated 1937.
Dimensions are about the same as the G70.

Can anyone identify this P29 box and tell what it was used for?

Any help is much appreciated.

That looks like a No.59 Marc, for 25pdr HE, smoke, Chemical shell, 1.25pd incendiary & 68 grenades.

Closing this thread as closer inspection (thanks Dave for pointing this out) has shown this actually is a P59. So the mystery is solved.
