Unknown part of container

I have found this object while metaldetecring. I know there was a Scottish division that helpt to free this part of the Netherlands . Probably it was left by them .

Anyone who recognise this part?

It looks like the end of a cardboard container / tube used to transport a lot of ammunition....75mm 105mm etc...mortars too. Dimensions will help further identification

The object is 70 mm / 7 cm in diameter. As seen on the photo.

Well....too small for 75mm or 105mm ammunition. Maybe for a mortar...2 inch or even an artillery fuze although I would think most likely a mortar.
Sorry to be so vague.

Probably it is the end of a carton tube from te 2 inch mortar packaging ?
It looks very similar.
