Unknown Projectile

Picked up this on the fea market it looks to be 3.7cm in size but cant see anything marked on it , has anyone seen this before , thank you for any help

Looks like a core from an AP-T round,so maybe from 57mm?

Thanks for the reply but its not that big it's around 37mm

My reasoning,if its a core it'll usually be inside a larger shell,hence possibly 57mm.
The Knurling looks more like the type used to retain wind shields as opposed to driving bands.
Is that what looks like wood in the base cavity?
