The attached pictures show two recent acquisitions which purport to be rocket type rounds. They came from a company who were believed to be linked to Burney-Davis. The question is what are they? 20mm Hispano for scale.
The materials look too modern to be linked to Burney-Davis to me.
The top (green) rocket other than the 4 offset venturis has no other markings or components which might indicate what it is.
The other rocket is more interesting. There are four venturis in the base. The warhead has a fuze which when disassembled looks to be a legitimate item. It has a machined brass cylindrical arming(?) bolt with striker which fits into the fuze as shown in the pics. The lacquered brass magazine looks typically British and lends weight to it being a genuine item. There are no markings at all on the rocket or fuze. The warhead is made of a material the finish of which seems familiar but I can’t place it.
Scaled up, there is a vague similarity to the much smaller Gyrojets (grasping at straws here).
Any thoughts on the items could be most welcome.
