Ok, this is almost the same size as the M26. There are no markings on it or the fuze. The body is hard plastic and the inside of the grenade is a white plastic matrix with small steel bb's embedded in it.
At one time it was filled with a nitro-based explosive (not TNT) based on the chemical tests we ran. The nearest I have been able to get is that it might be experimental from Picatinny in the very early 1950's.
Has anyone see anything like it before?
