Unusual British entrenching tool

Typical British entrenching tool, should have a date and usually has a webbing pouch and strapping. the use of the bayonet attachment is handy for searching mines. Could also be Canadian.

British (or Commonwealth) 1937 pattern entrenching tool - this is the Mk. II version that had added the attachment for the No. 4 bayonet; in service in WW2 (I think the Mk. II came towards the end of the war) through 1950s.
