Here is a US 105mm M38 HE in relic condition that I am looking to restore. The question would be if the fuze well has been cut back for possibly an M61 fuze or if the M2 Time Mechanical fuze would be what is needed. I don't have any info on the M2 fuze. The OAL of the round is 14", 105mm dia, and the rotating band checks out at the 1.42". The thread pitch in the fuze well is 2" x 12 TPI NF. There is a hole in the nose that would seem to be a set screw hole. I'm going to have to replace the base closure disk. Any thoughts? Thanks, Bruce.
