WW2 US 60mm mortar HE shell with M-52 P.D. fuze. Factory/arsenal supplied instructional items are completely unmarked and are for familiarization purposes only. There was no reason to test, gauge, accept, stamp these objects since they were not going to be filled and were not going to be subjected to service demands. Shell body is unpainted, laquered steel.
