It's only my own ignorant SWAG, but I'd say that's a dingbat. Made in someone's garage for display, show-and-tell, or whatever.

But, I've been known to be wrong.

I'm actually thinking it's real. Bronze ogive to not damage rifling, fuze, and the body looks lathe turned and old like a WWI era projo would look. Is there any stamping on the metal body?
