Hi,

Can anyone tell me more about this 75mm Round?

The case is 350mm, and I have a similar, sectioned case and shrapnel projectile which was described as an "inter-war American 75mm Artillery Round".

The headstamp markings on this round are:

AM LOT 111-31
75MM GUN
LOT 1241-22 G.M. CO.

The markings on the base of the projectile are:

A43
RIJ
IV

I'd appreciate any information about the country of origin, manufacturer, date of manufacture, weapon.

Thanks in anticipation!

The tip of the projectile looks like the 76mm Russian projectiles the U.S. produced in WWI. In addition, if it was a US HE projo it would have a brass or steel plate on the base to prevent gas piercing and detonation.
