US bomb fuze, modified for parachute opening... help?

Hi all
One of the members of the club came with this bomb fuze last night.
From what i understand it is an American bomb fuze that was modified for opening parachutes on container drops to the resistance in Norway. It was meant that the bombers could drop the container from altitude and avoid flying so low, the parachute opening at at set height.
I have no clue about this and can find little on the internet.
The man that has aquired it would like to find out more about it. Can anyone help?

Many thanks
