This picture came from an ebay auction a few months ago which I didn.t win, I do not have this case.
It shows an Austrian 7cm M99 Mountain gun case which has the British "Sold out of Service" mark of two broad arrows stamped point-to-point.
I have seen another case since with this same marking.
Were these captured and evaluated by British forces and then scrapped later?
