Did the USN mark their Bofors projectiles with any paint or ink ordnance stampings stencilling like lot numbers etc like British commomweath or German projectiles or were they just plain showing only the colour codes etc. I know the steel casings were ink stamped but not the projectile, i wonder if there was any reason for not.
