Anyone on here involved in destroying the Mills found by a metal detectorist near Fawley, Henley-On-Thames, yesterday? It was a bloody load bang that I heard back at our campsite in the Henley show-ground.

I didn’t see the EOD guys, but I have photos of the Mills, in found condition, (photos taken by a fellow event marshal). I can post these if allowed?

Condition as found. Destroyed in situ Sunday evening.

Looks like filler and base plugs in place, but no pin or lever.

The loud bang is probably because of the amount of serviceable HE applied to destroy the grenade - 4 x as much as the grenade filling. There were recently three EOD taskings in one day in Lincoln. Two of those were 36Ms and one of those was destroyed by demolition. The third job was some type of flare or marker device, not sure how that was dealt with.
