UXO tool, Electrical Stethoscope

HONOURED MEMBER RIP
Howdy Crew,

Picked this up at a recent fair.

Label suggested that it was for bomb disposal, can anyone confirm the use of this tool & if possible would someone have a manual for it so I can see how it worked.

Thanks.

Regards Ozzi.

Was a WW II sthoscope used to listen for clockwork mechanisms in bombs, nice find looks in prtty good condition, The microphone would be set on top the bomb, the EOD tech would listen thtough the headset. Currently the MK 15 steoscope (or at least when I was EOD) is used. Same principle just smaller

I had not looked at this thread in several years, so I was very surprised when I visited it again today and saw the tag under Ozzi's name saying that he had passed away. This is sad news to me although I had only emailed with him a couple times about Electric Stethoscopes.

Did anyone know him well? I am curious what happened to the Electric Stethoscope that was the subject of this thread.
