One of these just flew over my house. Considering the huge training exercise going on around Scotland at the moment I guess now was the best time ever to see one! For those who use it. No it wasn’t on flight radar

Scotland? Does UK use Ospreys? I have no clue, but you can see them in flight in San Diego, much lower and closer. I do agree on the strangest look of it in flight...those oversized propellers!!!
 
Nope we don’t use ospreys. But there is a big military exercise going on I think so that explains why it was here in the first place!
 
They are US Ospreys based in the UK. The British military does not operate the Osprey.

I have also seen them over London in the past during US presidential visits.
