Very unusual, need ID.

From a small maw and paw auction, closes soon. What is it? Markings: " SAW-P- 13357-1". 22 1/4 inches long, Nothing else in description. If someone here can not ID it I will be surprised....I have absolutely no idea. Many thanks in advance, I had a similar opportunity and won a Skysweeper and Bulldog complete round because of this forum's expertise.

I think that is one of the small WWI U.S. aerial bombs made from converted 75mm artillery shells.
 
Aren't the markings upside down for that? I don't remember the US ever stamping their markings upside down when in relation to the rotating bands.

I did not win the bid, ( $120 on my part), price check: it sold for $150 plus commission and shipping....win some, lose some.....
