Looking for a QF 2-pounder naval APHE shell/projectile for collection purposes. Condition must be good to great. Paint or lack of paint on the projectile does not matter.(in short any will do if it’s in good shape with no pitting)

Please message with details, photos if available.

All the best,
Matthew

Naval? I thought the 2 Pr AP/T shell (APHE) was for anti-tank/tank use?
But then again, Burney Davis has posted a photo of a naval AP case, so obviously used. Fairly rare shell with the 281 fuze.

Thanks, Graeme. I actually managed to find one already through another person, but here’s the link anyway.

You’re quite right that the 2-pr for anti-tank/tank did have an AP/T (APHE) shell, but the naval QF 2-pounder also had an armour-piercing high explosive shell, although it was actually classified as SAP rather than APHE, so the terminology can be a bit confusing.
