What does QF mean?

Gosh, didn't anyone read my posted URL about QF???

John, Read it. Good Read. Lead me on a chase to find U.S. references to QF and what I found were pre-1900 U.S. documents. Nothing much after that. Seems our parlance changed to rapid fire. Thanks, BRuce.

John - I read it too but didn't note any references to USA.

Bruce - Where did you find USA references?

but what the heck this is a Forum and open to all comments.
Take care,

Ray, I did a Google search of "US quick fire guns" and pulled up "Journal of United States Artillery, Vol 4, 1895". That's as close to it as I could get at this time. Couldn't tell you where I've read it before. Cheers, Bruce.
