Katyusha rockets are fin stabilized, and were originally fired from truck mounted rails. Had a range of about 5.5 kilometers
The Haseb 107mm is spin stabilized, with no fins, only 6 or 8 (can't remember which) rocket venturis set at an angle to give the rocket a stabilizing spin. Has a range of 8.5 kilometers.
Most of the rocket attacks in Iraq are made with the Haseb, launched from a homemade tube or rail type launcher made out of scrap metal. In Afghanistan, at the start of the war, the same type of 107mm rocket was used, only it was the Chinese-made Type 63. Those have run out, so Afghanistan is now seeing the use of the Haseb.
Home made versions were made of the Katyushas by Hamas, which fired them into Israel, as well.
107 mm rocket is scalled down russian 140 mm M-14 rocket. Chineese people coppied soviet design, but probably adopted it to size of own people :tinysmile_fatgrin_t. The same was with RPG-7 (shorter, and with smaller vent diameter)!
