I believe I have an Australian 6 pounder 7 CWT Type I case, dated 1943. The manufacturer is M.N, can anybody tell me what manufacturer this is?

I think the case is British, MN = Mond Nickel Ltd, London.
What makes you think this is Australian?
Blackwatch, correct - MN - Messrs Mond Nickel Co. Ltd., Zenith Works, Boydstone Road, Glasgow.
