What on earth am I looking at ?

I know the information on this one is scant, but what could this be?

At first I thought it was a 6 pounder Hotchkiss, but the case measurement (length) look about 40 mm longer.

The projectile looks fake, but the base looks like some sort of Drill.

I also noted a screw approx. 20 mm from the rim.

Any clues?

It is device to shoot smaller caliber round with tank gun for practice. We have littlebit same looking round in Parola Tank Museum for Sturmgeschutz assault guns 7,5cm StuK 40.

Tomorrow it arrives, then we can take a closer look.

My guess is that it is a sub-calibre device, 75 x 350R, possibly made in USA or Canada and used in the Sherman tanks.
