This grenade body has been hollowed out and made into a matchbox holder. It looks like the body of an unfinished Mills bomb but I do not know for sure. Any ideas?
This is a practice grenade used by the Home Guard in WW2. It would have a small gunpowder charge and a simple bickford fuze and the top was closed by a wooden block.
