Whats happend with these shells?

The right is a normal fired shell but the other 2? Whats this?

I`m going to say been fired twice? As I honestly cannot think of any other explanation!

Maybe not fired twice, but pushed twice thru barrel for technical test reasons?

thats what we think..some experiemts was made with 3,7cm aa-guns

ist a german 3,7cm he shell for Flak 18/36/43 and BK

Maybe from a barrel-wear out test? To find out how many shots a barrel can have before it is becomming inaccurate because it's worn out. After all; they are proving ground scrap.

yes an inproved gun with other barrel or barrel lifetime test would be the possiblest i think

Or maybe pressure testing?
The middle one looks like most 20mm and 30mm fired shells i have,the driving band seems to slew over into the next groove.
The last one almost looks too neat!

To fire a round twice? I am not sure.

To test another type of rifling, easier cheaper or faster to manufacture and then proving the barrel wear and precision with already manufactured ammo, that is my humble theory.

Maybe there exists some writen proof in the archives.
